How to Play UNO Show No Mercy

By Duetly Editorial · Published 2026-09-13 · Updated 2026-09-13

UNO Show ’Em No Mercy is classic matching UNO with a larger deck and four extra rules. You still match color, number, or symbol. You still yell UNO on one card. You can win by emptying your hand — or by knocking everyone else out.

Setup

168 cards. Deal seven each. Flip a number card to start the discard pile — if the flip is an action card, ignore it and flip again. On Duetly, play UNO Show No Mercy online and the server deals. Two to six people can sit at the same table.

A turn

If you have a legal card, play one. If you do not, keep drawing until you draw a card you can play — then you must play it. That is harsher than classic UNO, where you may draw one and pass.

The four special rules

  • Stacking: a Draw +2, +4, +6, or +10 can be stacked with an equal or higher Draw card. Color does not matter while stacking. The first player who cannot continue draws the total.
  • 7’s swap: playing a 7 of any color forces you to swap hands with a player you choose.
  • 0’s pass: playing a 0 passes every hand one seat in the current direction.
  • Mercy: if a hand ever reaches 25 cards, that player is out. Last player standing wins.

New action cards

  • Discard All: dump every other card of that color under it.
  • Skip Everyone: skip the table and play again.
  • Colored Draw Four: next player draws four unless they stack.
  • Wild Reverse Draw 4, Wild Draw 6, Wild Draw 10, Wild Color Roulette.
