Rock Paper Scissors Rules

The standard game uses three symbols in a cycle. No lizard. No spock. No 'rock on fire.' Those are other games.

Legal throws

Exactly one of: rock, paper, scissors. You pick once per round. Changing your mind after the round is locked is not a legal move. Online, a second submit from the same player is rejected.

Resolution

The server — or the two people looking at their hands — applies the cycle. The winner of the round gets one point. A draw gives nobody a point.

Match formats

• Best of 1: first non-draw win ends it. Draws repeat.
• Best of 3: first to 2 round wins.
• Best of 5: first to 3 round wins.
• Infinite: keep a running tally with no match winner.
